Fitbit Shares Guidelines to Lose Weight

Fitbit published an article sharing guidelines to follow when running to lose weight, including consuming carbs post-run. The article shared four rules to follow when running for weight loss including being cognizant of calories, timing your carbs intake, varying your workout intensities, and consistent running. 

When discussing the importance of timing your carbs, Team CHOCOLATE MILK athlete and trainer Jason Karp, Ph.D. shares that post-run is a great time to consume carbs because the hard workouts deplete the muscles’ carbohydrate storage, stressing the 30-60 minute window to refuel after a tough workout. Providing snack examples, FitBit nutritionist suggests refueling with lowfat chocolate milk  after tough run longer than an hour.
